What is IPMAT Exam? 

IPMAT is a five-year IPM program entrance test administered by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak (Integrated Programme in Management). IIM Indore offers a dual degree program (bachelor's + master's) for applicants who have completed the 12th standard.

Each institute conducts its IPMAT for admissions to its 5-year Integrated Programme in Management.

IPMAT Indore is conducted by IIM Indore, SAT scores are accepted by IIM Ranchi, IPMAT Rohtak is conducted by IIM Rohtak, and JIPMAT is conducted jointly by IIM Bodh Gaya and Jammu.

Syllabus of IPMAT Exam  

IPMAT is a computer-based exam. IPMAT Exam consists of 3 sections

Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, and lastly Quantitative Aptitude which will be short answer based i.e Subjective, and include topics from Standard 10th mathematics.

There will be 90 questions in the exam. There is no specific number of questions per section but generally, it's seen that around 35-40 questions are from Verbal Ability and 25-30 from Quantitative Ability, and the Rest from Quantitative Aptitude.

Eligibility criteria for IPMAT Exam  

  • In the case of the General and NC-OBC categories, the candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent examinations i.e State Board Examination.
  • To qualify for the examination the candidate must have passed HSC in the same year or the preceding 2years.
  • In addition, the candidate must be no older than 20 years old.
  • In the case of SC, ST, and PWD, the candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12.

Currently, there are no scholarship programs that use a candidate IPMAT's score to award a scholarship for studying abroad. But if you Score exceptionally well and are in genuine need of a scholarship you can apply for these few schemes to study at IIM's in India with little to no tuition fee.

Need-based Financial Assistance (NBFA)   

A renowned scholarship program by IIM Indore which extends financial aid to participants who are in genuine need.  The objective of the Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) by IIM Indore is to ensure that no participant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons.

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in an Integrated Program of Management or IPM
  • If not IPM then must be enrolled in Post Graduate Program at IIM Indore.
  • Annual Family income must be below 9 lacs INR.

Aditya Birla Fellowship   

A Scholarship program as the name describes brought to you by the Aditya Birla Group. This scholarship is given to high-achieving serious students in the first year of their degree, and they can continue to receive it in their second year. if they are. This scholarship may be awarded to one or two students. The award will be INR 1.8 lacs INR per year.

Eligibility

  • Exceptionally High Track Record. Entrance Scores, 12th Class, and 10th Class Score.
  • To receive it in the second year, candidates must be in the top 25 students, based on CGPA.

Can Non-Indian Students Apply for IPMAT?   

Yes, international students can also apply for the IPMAT exam. But instead of IPMAT score your SAT score will be Considered and then You will proceed to the next stage same as for the candidate clearing IPMAT.

Written Ability Test: A replacement for the Group Discussion is WAT or Written ability Test. The duration of the exam is 15-20mins.

Personal Interview: Right after your Written Ability Test you will have to appear for a personal interview. In this exam your personality will be tested whether you're temperament and nature is ideal for pursuing BBA and MBA.

Do IIM students get placed Abroad?  

Yes, IIM is the pinnacle of Management Institutions in India. Yes, their graduates do gets placed abroad with a very lucrative salary.
